See-LEVEL's Partnership with SPIIND to a produce a defence ready seasick solution

The expectation of many people when we talk about Sea Sickness and defence is that it is the Navy’s of the world who will be the prime market users of our Sea Sickness Remedy. This is borne out in the statistics shown in various studies which suggest prevalence may be as high as 50%.

Certainly many Navy’s around the world recognise that new recruit drop out rates are influenced by their sea sickness experiences and that this carries with it a high training overhead cost. It is also true that while Navy staff may get their “Sea Legs” with time served, even the most hardened sailors can still experience sea sickness.

As such, SPIIND Defence & Maritime’s VR Sea Sickness Remedy provides Navy’s with a cost effective solution which minimises those overheads, along with the health and safety concerns that sick staff present while on operational duties.

So who else is highly susceptible to Sea Sickness within the defence forces of the world and it is of course Army staff who are deployed worldwide on board ships. Again, referring to statistics available from various studies worldwide, Army shows a high prevalence of sea sickness generally with staff having had less exposure to sea time. This coupled with the use of larger, faster and longer range Landing Craft (Ship to Shore and now Shore to Shore) capable of enduring rougher sea conditions up to and above sea state 5, Army and Marines alike are now more exposed to sea sickness and showing higher levels of susceptibilty.
